Give Capt. Feb 03, Beth Hendrix rated it it was amazing. Amazing story Loved this book just as much as the first. I was so happy with the way the story played out. Feb 01, Nicole Martinez rated it it was amazing Shelves: arc-review-team-books , rh-books.
This book started from where book one ended. Cassandra gets kidnapped by the King and finds out about his evil plan for her. She sees people from her past and has to overcome her demons. She doesn't get to interact a lot with her pirates. This story has a lot of information leading up the next book. This book is an emotional roller coaster of sadness, determination, and betrayal. I can't wait to see what happens next. Feb 02, Christy deSade rated it did not like it. The author only used the guys' POV for 3 or 4 of the chapters, so it felt like a cheat rather than how the story should go.
Then there was the whole falling in love with 6 people, 2 of them barely more than background filler, in about 2 weeks? I wish I could request a refund of the time I spent reading this crap. Feb 09, Michelle rated it it was ok. Let me just start by saying I don't do a lot of reviews but I just had to with this book I pushed through the first book even though I did not like the authors style The plot points inconsistent, the pirates couldn't die as long as the chosen lived but the, king killed his queens chosen No explanation of how or why it worked when Cassandra gave one of her chosen the mark to save his life and it worked.
Barely any time spent on the relationships but yet they still fall madly in love. This Let me just start by saying I don't do a lot of reviews but I just had to with this book I pushed through the first book even though I did not like the authors style The plot points inconsistent, the pirates couldn't die as long as the chosen lived but the, king killed his queens chosen This book was poorly written, not sure if I will read the last one but,I do know I will never read another book by this author as the writing style just blows me away Jan 28, Angel rated it liked it.
The story itself is intriguing. My complaints are due to the delivery. It felt like the author knew where she wanted the story to go, but struggled to achieve a natural flow. My biggest complaint is that there was so much potential. Feb 02, Jennifer G rated it really liked it Shelves: reverse-harem. Cassandra has been captured and taken to the King. Now she has brought them to their end. She's without her pirates, she must survive the evil king's plans, and try to save everyone else. It seems impossible but Cassandra has a strong will. She is fueled by her desire to get back to her pirates. Her pir Cassandra has been captured and taken to the King. Her pirates haven't forgotten their girl either. They have a plan to save her. Secrets will be revealed; Cassandra will feel betrayed but they don't care if she's angry as long it keeps her alive.
And she has the Sea God whispering in her ear. He wants to make a deal. He can help her but what will the price be? Does she have a choice? If what he says is true, there is no future if she doesn't take his deal. The sea will die and the earth will follow. I loved the first book in this series and eagerly awaited this one. I admit I am a little disappointed with this book. It's not that the story isn't good; it is. There wasn't enough time devoted to the relationships between Cassandra and her pirates.
I wanted more time with Cassandra as the little bird or little fighter. I wanted to enjoy time with her dragon baby. What little time she had with her pirates was important but rushed. I feel cheated. This story has plenty of fear, loss, betrayal, and ugliness. We get to know a bit more about the sea god.

A crucial character returns. When you add in the little gem of a story, Fall For the Sea, that followed after the ending of this book all of the pieces of the deal are in play. I look forward to the next book. One evil king, one heir, a crown, and especially a changed one and her pirates will all come together hopefully in a spectacular fashion. Just more pirates, please! It was fast paced and there was plenty of action.
While I did not enjoy it as much as the first one, I still liked it and had a fun time reading it. Cassandra definitely grew in this installment. She became a lot stronger and she is a completely different character compared to where this series started. I like how her chosen have made her stronger and I liked that aspect of the bond between them. With that being said, I have a ma 3. With that being said, I have a major problem with this series. Because there has been very little character development for the guys I have no emotional attachment to them.
Yes, we have gotten their back stories, but that isn't all there is to character development.

I don't feel like any of them are unique and they all seem rather similar in personality to me. The only one that I felt was even slightly different was Hunter and he has flattened out too. I have said before that I will take character development over plot development and that is true. With this series, the plot is really entertaining and contains plenty of action, but the characters are completely one dimensional and fall completely flat for me.
If I am being completely honest, one of Cassandra's chosen could die and I would be perfectly okay. While I do enjoy these small installments, I feel like it would be a waste of my time to read the last book when I wouldn't care what happens in it. I have read some of G. Bailey 's other books and I enjoyed them. I don't think that she is a bad author at all, I just think that this wasn't the right series of hers for me.
Jan 20, Jemimah Zafoune rated it it was amazing. Oh my god did I love this book! It was so exciting and just the kind of adventure I needed to read at that point in time. Love the Sea follows straight on from where book 1 ended. I found it very easy to get back into the story and remember what happened previously. It was action packed right from the get go and it also kept me fraught with tension over what was going to happen next. There were secrets revealed to Cass, some of which we already knew and some which were new to us too.
Some old cha Oh my god did I love this book! Some old characters also make a reappearance and I think that one of them has a bigger role to play than any of us think. I fell in love with this story when I read Escape the Sea, the first book in the series. Reading this book has made me fall in love with it even more. I'm very much looking forward to reading the next book in this series, I'm also hoping there'll be many more books to come in this world as it's really a setting and story that has got me excited. This is easily a five star read for me as I loved it.
Jan 15, Book Addict rated it it was amazing. This is the second book in the series by G. Bailey and what a fantastic continuation of a story! This books starts off exactly where the first book finishes and it does not disappoint! The reader is captivated from the very first page and I was left yelling for book 3 at the end!
Like all of G. By the end of this book you really have a strong hate for the king and what he has done for his This is the second book in the series by G. One of the fantastic things in this book is Cass and her pirates. I love the connection between them all and Cass handles all 6 of them superbly, Hunter and Zach are my favourites, but they are all great characters!! This is a series that captivates the readers imagination and leaves you wanting to keep reading!

Ugghhhhh I can't believe it's over!! Book 3 is so far away! Love the Sea was a fabulous sequel to book 1, picking up where we left off with Cassy and her boys!
Vanished like a bad dream. Still, a seashell is left from his absence, one that hints at sequels to come. He also is often shadowed by a haunting organ theme written by Hans Zimmer, which we heard just a few notes of as the final, final Dead Men Tell No Tales scene came to a close. It also means the next movie is setting up a very familiar conflict—one we had for two movies—Davy Jones versus Jack Sparrow, Will Turner, and Elizabeth Swann.
We imagine a whole sequel with the original triumvirate reunited will practically sell itself. Getting Davy Jones back may just be a bonus for the most diehard of fans too. View the discussion thread. Sign up for our newsletter Newsletter.
